Recognized for his talent as a surgeon and commitment to excellence in patient care, Dr Onyewu was named a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery in 1997. In recent years, he has built a reputation as a respected researcher. This expertise is evidenced by his intriguing research on the effects of radiation on breast reconstruction using saline implants, which led to results being published in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery medical journal in March 2000.

Dr. Onyewu specializes in surgery of the breast, reconstruction, augmentation, breast lifts and body sculpturing using liposuction. He also has performed many successful procedures to remove Keloid scars.
