The National Academies' Policy on Total Compensation strives to ensure you base pay is competitive with the marketplace. We consider internal equity for similar jobs within the National Academies. We reward the performance of individual employees
The diversity of our organization requires that we continually investigate compensation practices and market price using a variety of markets including for-profit, not-for-profit, local, national, science, research, policy, finance, information technology, medical, print, membership and many other markets.
In addition, as a government contractor, we are required to provide government auditing agencies the reasoning that supports our compensation decisions by validating our compensation administration program.
